2025 GMC Terrain Debuts with Increased Space and Advanced Technology

GMC has introduced the next-generation 2025 Terrain, offering increased space, advanced safety features, and improved technology in the compact SUV segment. The new model debuts with a truck-inspired design that aligns with GMC's broader lineup aesthetics.

The 2025 Terrain comes equipped with over 15 standard safety and driver assistance features, including Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Bicyclist Braking, and Blind Zone Steering Assist. Standard technology includes a 15-inch-diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment System and an 11-inch-diagonal driver information centre.

New technological offerings include up to eight available camera views, an optional rear camera mirror, and 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability. The infotainment system supports multiple applications simultaneously and integrates with Google Assistant for enhanced functionality.

Duncan Aldred, global vice president of Buick and GMC, stated, "The 2025 GMC Terrain builds on GMC's strengths and offers our latest, premium technology and safety features, while bringing a fresh, bold design to our two-row SUV."

The Terrain's redesigned exterior features a more athletic stance and a grille that shares design cues with GMC's truck lineup. For the first time, GMC offers a two-tone roof option in black or grey for the Terrain, providing additional personalization choices for customers.

Inside, the new Terrain emphasizes long, sweeping lines to accentuate the cabin's width, complemented by chrome accents across the instrument panel, upper door, and console armrest. Wireless chargers are conveniently located near the armrest.

All new Terrains are powered by a 1.5L Turbocharged engine, producing 175 horsepower and 203 lb.-ft of torque. The Elevation trim, available this year, comes standard with all-wheel-drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

GMC plans to introduce AT4 and Denali trims in 2025 for the 2026 model year. The AT4 will feature a unique Terrain Mode, lifted ride height, and advanced off-road capabilities. The Denali trim will focus on luxury, offering outboard heated seats, animated lighting, and unique ride comfort technologies.
